Need Your Help on the Batik Shells!

I have 5 new prints that are about to come out. They are all quite large in scale...All vibrant, fresh and washy yummy colors (like the Sunburst below...the first of the new arrivals to come). The above shell print is a much smaller scale and could make a great coordinate to the larger scaled prints...But I am just a smidgen on the fence about it. Thoughts? To make or not to make? I don't usually put un-developed works online...Although I would LOVE to, but sadly there are just too many rip-off artists that potentially can beat me to it.

  1. Love it, would like to buy a yard now for a lampshade for my living room. Just painted my credenza that color yesterday. Reminds my of abstract peacocks too. I think its just perfect!

IF your gut is hesitant about it then forgo the process. Usually in design it's your first inclination that is usually spot on.

  5. Lulu, brave soul that you are! Here is my thought- if it is tiny-thumb size- Go for it, otherwise I would work with the large scales- they will make a room alone, no accompaniments needed. pgt

    Lulu,
I really love this color and the abstraction of the shell shape. Please make more, I love your work. The size is good, I would even go bigger.

  9. The print is amazing...and since you have larger prints in the works, and you feel it will coordinate well, go for it! Will counter balance all the larger scale ones nicely.

  10. I like the idea of a different scale. It would be fun to mix the different color ways in different scales in a room. So fun so full of color, Love it,Kathysue

  16. I love the print and the color. If the price were reasonable I would buy it in an instant to cover a window seat and fill with downy pillows for said window seat. It would also be wonderful in different shades of blue since it feels very beachy to me. I've just found your blog and will now follow along so I can see if you end up producing the fabric for my seat!

  17. Lulu-

It's very nice, as is all of your work. I love your aesthetic. I was raised in the 60's so your designs make me smile as the music of Sergio Mendes and Brazil '66 wafts through my mind.
